Pictures not working :
If your
domain name is online and your web pages are online then
your pictures should be working. To find out why a
particular picture is not working just visit the web
page in a browser. Right click on the broken picture and
select properties. You will then see an address of
where your web page is expecting to find that picture on
the server. Pictures and all files are Cap sensitive
and require perfect spelling.
Lets say you
right clicked on the broken picture and you see this url
.
http://isphost.org/picture-files/image.gif
If this
picture is broken then you will most likely find that
this picture is not uploaded to the server at
http://isphost.org/picture-files/image.gif
Go into file
manager inside of Cpanel. Or connect with Frontpage or
FTP
Go into your
picture-files folder (hopefully you have one if not that
identifies the problem.) Look for an image called
image.gif Odds are its not uploaded yet in that
location or it would be working. Or its misspelled or
has a capitalization problem. Otherwise it would be
working.
Two ways to
fix broken pics.
First way
Make your web page find the picture in its proper
location. Go into your web design software and right
click on the pic in question. Youll see an address of
where that pic should be. In the above example it would
state
http://isphost.org/picture-files/image.gif
or /picture-files/image.gif
change this
url to match location of actual picture on your server.
Second way
Place your picture in the same place your web page is
looking for it when you right click on broken pic and
choose properties.
